Panama City Writers
What is the definition of a writer? Well, I suppose anyone who creates a written work, even if it's simply a "To Do" list could be called a "writer". However, usually when someone refers to themselves or someone else as a "writer", they are talking about an individual who writes creatively, either to entertain or inform.
On this page we highlight our local Panama City Writers.

Anthony Buoni is a talented young writer whose work I recently discovered in City Limits: Official Literary Anthology of the Panama City Centennial. His contribution to the anthology was a short supernatural tale which reminded me of H.P. Lovecraft. His writing can be edgy and obscene or tender and insightful, simply because Anthony writes exactly what he's feeling at the moment he puts pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. |

Jack Saunders is our very own living legend here in the local area. He's been writing for over 35 years despite being virtually ignored by the larger literary establishment. Lucky for us he's forged ahead, stayed true to himself and through small press and self-publishing continues to create. |
|
Tony Simmons is a local author who has several published works in print. He is also the online editor for the Panama City News Herald. He is a supremely talented writer with a special ability to capture in words the nuances of emotion and unspoken feelings we all share. |
|
Timothy D. Thomas is a local freelance children's book illustrator. He is also the author and illustrator of his own book DIDYANO, Animal Families of the Zoos and Aquariums. |
